Hand, Foot, and Mouth

A little over a week ago on Thursday night about 10:00 Brantley had a fever of 102. David gave him a blessing and he slept through the night. His fever didn't disappear but he went to the low 99.0 the next couple of days was the same story. His fever ranged between 102 to 103. Finally Saturday afternoon he had his last high fever. I was thinking that he was teething but I was wrong. Monday Brantley was walking through the kitchen and came up to me saying "Owe. Owe" So I sat him in his high chair to look at his feet. On the bottom of his feet around his toes, in between his toes, and on the top of his toes were blisters. Some had popped, others were just starting, it was all read and there was some slight peeling. I felt so bad for him. I wasn't sure what it was so we went to the insta-care. I was secretly hoping for athletes foot because hand, foot, and mouth is so contagious and can be so painful. Well that's what he had. Hand, foot and mouth. So Brantley wasn't able to go to preschool at all last week. David just happened to be home working at BYU so I would have Brantley in the morning, David would come home so I could go to school, then when I got home David would go back to work. He wasn't able to get all of his hours but I am so grateful for his sacrifice and helping me make things work here so I wouldn't have to miss my classes. But Brantley is doing so much better. His feet are peeling like crazy but there are no more blisters. Yahoo!!!

Picture Overload

So I just barely took the time to take these pictures off my phone. So here are some pictures of Brantley over the past couple of months.

 Wearing Daddys hoodie
Bed time....so tired...he can't even look at the book!
Brantley LOVES to go outside to look at and feed the horse and see the chickens
Brantley thinks that anything that is through a fence likes to eat grass and rocks.

 A new hat...
The only time I have ever had Brantley sit and watch a show on his own. It was a dog competition.
At day care they play dress up...Here is Brantley dressed as a shark.
We went to the mall and Brantley got to drive a car for the very first time.

 Still loves to read books!!

 At the BYU duck pond.

We found a tent at the BYU bookstore that we thought Brantley would love....he does.

Having fun with Daddy at bedtime

Sure to love this little man!!!

Two of my favoirite videos of David and Brantley
Brantley got a balloon for Easter and we just found it and blew it up for him....he has been loving it.

*7 Months*

Month 7. I can hardly believe that I am here already. My pregnancy is still going great we did have a little bit of a scare,0 at least for us, this past month. When I went in for my glucose test I failed the 1 hour test. The cut off was 140 and I was 141 so they told me I needed to come back the next week for a 3 hour. If I failed the 3 hour I would be considered a gestational diabetes. I was terrified. I was stressed all weekend and my dream of waking up and eating a big brownie right before I went and took my test didn't help. But after many prayers and a blessing I knew that everything would be okay. And it was. I started the test with a sugar level of 66. After the first hour the cut off for sugar was 180? and I was 119. After the second hour the cut off was 150 and I was at a 97. They told me that I didn't even need to stay for the 3rd hour. So everything is great and working the way that it should. What a relief. Here are some other happenings with this pregnancy
* Sleep is a long lost friend I wish to experience again. I can't ever seem to get comfortable and about an hour after I find a somewhat comfortable spot I have to get up and go potty.
*My babies seems to like a nerve in my back that is untouchable during pregnancy to anyone who is on the outside. No amount of stretching, massaging, heat packing, or anything else seems to cure it. Anyway it makes it hard to sit, and walk but oh well....only 10 more weeks left.
*No food aversions....but I am currently going through a pie phase....I LOVE PIE!!!
*I carry this little one so much differently then I did Brantley. She is way more out which means rocking Brantley becomes quite uncomfortable...but I will endure because I will not loose my cuddle time with my growing baby boy who isn't much of a baby anymore.
*She is constantly moving....and I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!
*We are thinking of the name Bridget, Joni, or JulieAnn but we will see what happens.
I still love being pregnant but this one has been a little tougher because of how far out she is and it makes my daily things a lot more difficult to get done, I definitely don't bend like I used to. But we sure can't wait to meet this little one. We are so excited to have her join our family.

Need a little sun????

Well I hate to say it but....yes....this is my arm and my leg!!
I think my legs need to see a little more sunshine!!!

The Zoo

David and I were able to take Brantley to the zoo for the first time!!! We just happened to go on a freezing cold day but all the animals were very active. I don't remember going to the zoo when all the animals were up so much. Brnatley loved every minute of it.
Brantley watching a peacock wander by where we were eating lunch.
Brantley loved riding the train and the caresole.
 Brantley loved watching the moneys
We actually went to the zoo twice in one week the second time was much warmer we found the tigers to be so cool.

We also loved watching the elephants espically the baby elephants.

We also got to watch the bird show which was amazing and Brantley sat still the whole time.

Needless to say we LOVE LOVE LOVE the zoo!!!!

**6 Months***

Here I am at six months. Pregnancy is still going great!!!! This little one is still so very very active and I love every minute of it. I notice that I carry her a lot differently that I did Brantley. She is much more straight out and down much lower where Brantley was very high and I was very round. I am still loving every minute of being pregnant!!!

Easters

This year I was so excited to be able to take Brantley Easter egg hunting. UVU had an Easter egg hunt for students. The morning was FREEZING but it didn't phase Brantley at all. We waited outside the little area for children 2 and under....this is how well Brantley waited!!!
I had to hold on tight while people were saying "hold him back". He was so excited to see all the "balls"
He did such a good job carrying his basket and putting the "balls" in it

He loved taking the eggs in and out of his basket but he did NOT like the Easter bunny AT ALL!!
We were able to go to the egg hunt with my good friend Amy and he cute kids.
 Home Easter Baskets
For Brantley he got a few things that he loves. Bubbles, balls, and something to color on!!
David got some shirts, a book, and some candy.

Brantley was thrilled to see more eggs spread out and he loved the basket ball hoop
 SMEDLEY EASTER PARTY
The yearly family Easter party is looked forward to all year. Grandma Smedley goes all out for all grandchildren, grandchildren-in-laws-, great grand children, and children. She spoils us all!! We sure love her lots. It started off with a delicious BBQ lunch and then the Easter egg hunt.

She had beach towels for all the adults hanging from the trees.
Everyone got to find 13 eggs. Brantley also got a stuffed bunny, a little car, and a pin wheel.

The Jaggi family seeing what they got in their eggs. It was a beautiful day and once again Brantley LOVED every minute of being outside!!! Thank you to all that put so much work into this fun party!!
