Memorial Weekend Continued....

So when we went to the doctor she thought he had strep. He didn't...but I DO!!! Man oh man. What a weekend and poor David. He has been so helpful. I have a very low grade fever and body aches up the wazoo and my throat KILLS but David has been so good. He has taken care of Brantley with out complaining. Tells me to go to bed and helps me get there because I am a busy body and just want to get other things done. He also doesn't complain about the Walmart runs. What a good man I have married.

As for Brantley. He is doing SO much better!!! His fever did not come back on Sunday and he has been great today. The only problem is the day and night confusion he has developed. He is up at 1:00 and wants to be fed. He will then take another nap and wake up at 4 and won't go to bed at all. We are trying to change that today by keeping him up a lot more today. Hopefully he will be so tired that he will just sleep all through the night. Wish us luck!! David and I would love to sleep again!!!

What a memorial weekend....seriously

Brantley has gotten sick again!!! I just don't understand it. We try to keep him healthy, wash our hands keep him warm, or cool. But to no avail. The poor little man since last Thursday has been running a pretty much constant fever of 101. At first we tried Tylenol to get it down but it took so long and only took it down to like 100 or 99.5. Well we went to the doctor on Friday for his check up and while we were there he didn't currently have a fever so they gave him his 6 month shots. 3 in his legs and one in the mouth. Brantley we have discovered has a very sensitive gag reflex and as soon as she gave him the one in is mouth he threw up everywhere. In his nose, eye, hair, all over his clothes and the bed that he was on and the blanket he was in. It was a mess.

Well that night proved to be a miserable one for both him and David and I. We were up until 2 with him with another fever we couldn't get to go down and he wasn't eating anything. David found someone to give him a blessing, a neighbor and friend Justin Hannig bless him for coming over so early in the morning. We owe him a lot because this isn't the first time his done it. Anyway David blessed Brantley that his temperature would go down and he would be able to sleep the rest of the night well. And just that happened.

Saturday didn't prove to be any better though. He didn't wake up with a fever but by 1 the fever was back. The doctor told us that if the fevers continued to bring him in so we went again to the doctor. When we got there the fever was 102.8. My mother bless her heart came down for a few minutes to help me with a few things and bought some baby Motrin for him which works wonders and we now LOVE!! The doctor said that he has an upper respiratory infection his ear looks slightly pink, his throat looks raw, his nose his runny and stuffed and he doesn't sound very good. But we gave him the Motrin and the fever was down in 20 minutes. Brantley was back to his old self again. The past couple of days he just wants to be held. He will just lay his head on your shoulder and not move. The ONLY good thing I can see from him getting sick which is how cuddly he is.

Today he is doing better his fever is now starting to come back but he still wont eat hardly anything. Anything besides milk he gags on and then throws everything we have been able to get him to eat up. And we have tried lots of different things. Popsicles, juice, ice but he won't have anything to do with any of it. He did NOT sleep well last night. He was up at one and four and from four on he just cried until 6:30 David tried then to get him to eat which he did. He ate 7 ounces but it took David 40 minutes. He has only had 3 and a half ounces since. I can't get him to take anything. So if you have a few extra prayers could you please send them our way. We want our little man better and back to his old self!!! Thank you!

Daycare!!!

Yep, thats right. Brantley is in daycare. I always told myself that I would never put Brantley into a daycare but oh well. The day has come. His first day was Wednesday was the 25th. UVU has a place called Wee Care. I didn't expect to get him in so soon but I inquired on Friday and he was in on Monday and his first day was Wednesday. I was so proud of my self I didn't even cry. Now some might ask why is he going to daycare. Well the answer is simple. I am DETERMINED to finish my bachelor degree. It might also have something to do with I had a wonderful sitter but she is moving in July, and I also felt bad taking Brantley over there when she has a daughter who is only a week younger than him. She says she was just fine but I would have had to find another sitter eventually anyway so I just didn't put it off any longer. Also David is pretty much gone all week so he can't watch him so this was just easier all around.

His first day was GREAT and the teachers are wonderful. He played pretty much the whole time happy as can be. He would have usually taken two naps by the time I came to pick him up after school but he only took one and he was still happy as ever. Love him! I am glad he has a place to go but it won't be for to much longer I graduate next summer or fall depending on how ambitious I am!:D

A fun night at the fishing pond

While we were up North Polly and Jordan invited us to go to the fishing pond in North Ogden. We had so much fun!!

Fishy Face

Can you see the fish?

Brantley loved the fish he just wanted to touch them

Looking for the perfect fishing pond

Kaylee fishing with her Daddy

Picking out the perfect fishing pole

Brantley just chilling with Daddy

Little Kaylee has a little bit of a traumatizing experience. She was just holding her pole in the pond. Polly and Jordan didn't think that the fish would actually bit the hook with out dumping in fish food. So the just let her hold it. Then all of a sudden a fish bit it and ripped the pole from her hands. She started crying and wouldn't fish the rest of the time. It was so dang funny especially since the pole that the fish took was floating around the pond where ever the fish took it. Jordan finally got it out. But it gave us all a great laugh.

A First for both David and Me!!!

This past weekend David and I went turkey hunting!! It is now one of my favorite hunts. I loved every minute of it. I had to be very patient but it paid out. We got a young tom

I was using a 20 gauge with only 2 3/4 so when I shot I only wounded it. So David and I snuck up on it. David thought it was dead but as we started walking up to it, it jumped up and started to fly. David whipped out his gun and shot it dead.

So this turkey was a group effort. It probably would have died from my shot but David finished it off faster.

We went to David's sisters house to clean it out which worked out great because they were killing chickens.

Here are the kids with the turkey they loved looking at it and taking turns trying to lift it

Esther was so good to play with Brantley.

The turkey was about 25 pounds

Brantley LOVES being outside

Starting to pluck the turkey

Issac was fascinated with all the different looking feathers he kept saying "can I have this one instead?" his mom only told him he could have 3.

Girls Night....with all the girls of my complex!!!

So all the girls in my complex save one, Macey (she was packing to go on a fabulous trip to Disney World) but most of us are usually husband-less durning the week so we decided to have a girls night. We were supposed to watch a movie but conversation was just to good!! These girls are so dang funny!! Brooke, Me, Cindi, Selina (and baby Aden) and Cristyn
Cindi picking some homemade delicious popcorn out of her teeth

Cristyn took my camera and this is what I found!!

LOVE THESE GIRLS!!!

A little on what Brantley has been up to

The other day I have put Brantley on the table so I could fix dinner. I gave him some toys but as my back was turned I heard something other than his little chain toys. This is what I turned around to...the little stinker!!
Happy has can be!!

Cute little guy!!!

ALSO.....I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS

He has found his toes....and puts them in his mouth. I just can't ever catch the right time to take a picture.

He also LOVES his little saucer espically when we take it outside!!!

My first REAL Mothers Day and other things

I had a wonderful Mothers Day. On Saturday David and I went on a long needed date. We went clay pigeon shooting then to dinner at chuck-a-rama. We left Brantley with a friend while we went shooting but took him to dinner with us. I love spending time with my little family, but I especially loved just getting to be with David for a little while. Then on Sunday David took care of Brantley all morning and helped make dinner that night. We had my favorite dinner of chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, rolls, jello, and corn. I only made the chicken and gravy. It was delicious. David also gave me a book and a warm delights hot fudge brownie thing that goes in the microwave (It looks so good!!). It was a wonderful day!! I love being a mom.

OUR NEW WARD
David and I used to go to a BYU student married ward. WE LOVED IT and everything about it. The people, the bishop, our callings and especially the 8:30am time. But almost all of the student wards were dissolved and so we got pushed into a real family ward. Well yesterday was our first time. We aren't really fond of the 1:00 time but the ward was SO nice. I had so many people come up to me and some of my friends that got sent over there with us. The bishopric is so young and also very nice and the bishop seems to be very on top of things. I think this ward will be great! I was also very surprised to find out that this family ward is a lot like the student ward in a lot of ways. They have lots of students and the bishop said that they have about 60% turnover about once a year. That's a lot! But we will be here for a while and we are excited for our new adventure!

SCHOOL
Well I start school today. I am taking on 3 summer classes and I am having some mixed emotions. I am excited to go back and I am also excited that I graduate next December but I am not very excited about leaving Brantley behind. My wonderful friend April has volunteered to watch Brantley while I go. Bless her heart. I just don't' like leaving him for long period of time. I would like to leave him with David but that poor man is ALWAYS working!! These next few weeks for David he works (most of the time it may change a little) Tuesday through Friday morning. He doesn't come home. Brantley and I sure do miss him. But I am so grateful for the wonderful neighbors and friends that we have they make being alone not so lonely! Anyway school here I come. Wish me luck!!!
