*Weddings*

The past two weeks David and I got to attend one wedding and two wedding receptions. The first one was for one of mine and David's great friends Johnny and Sarah. They are so dang cute together and so fun to be around. David and Johnny grew up together and were room mates at BYU before David and I got married. Some have described David and Johnny's relationship as unnatural:D They are just such great friends! They got married in the bountiful temple and their ceremony was beautiful. I loved the way they would just look at each other. Their sealer was kind of hard to understand but the spirit was so sweet and strong. We were invited to their luncheon but we were late and the numbers were miscommunicated with the restaurant and so there were no seats left for us which actually work out so good!

Grandma Smedley throws some of the best parties and one of those is the very anticipated Easter Party. This year she had about 1200 eggs stuffed for her grand children and great grand children. She is so wonderful!! But not only did we make it for the egg hunt we got to have some of the great BBQ that had been provided. After we ate and visited for a bit we headed off to the reception. We didn't know we were supposed to be there by 5 for pictures since that information wasn't shared until the end of the luncheon when we weren't present so they were waiting on us to finish up. But it worked out good. Sarah looked so beautiful! We are so excited for them!!!

My good friend Jadda!! She is so cute with Brantley

Our friend Mark--He willingly fed Brantley and did a great job!

Wedding #2-- (I didn't get any pictures here because we got there stayed for 5 minutes then had to leave because David had to be at work which was sad because I wanted to see all my friends from high school)

My friends from high school Macey and Curtis also got married. These two were made for each other. One of the cutest couples I have ever seen in my entire life. All of my friends from high school have just been waiting for these two to tie the knot and I am sure many will agree when I say it is about time. They are so great together and the best part is they are my neighbors now. They live right below me in my apartment complex and I have had the privilege of feeding them the past couple of nights to help them get all settled in. We are glad that they are our neighbors!!

But being able to go to these weddings have made me think of my own and how far David and I have come and made me realize how lucky and blessed that I am to have such a wonderful man in my life. I couldn't have married a better man. He is my best friend and the best father to Brantley. He treats me so good. I look back on our wedding day and I only have good feelings. I wouldn't change a thing. We had trials and struggles and we still do but I know that with those trials we have been so blessed. He is so perfect for me. I don't know where I would be without him. He brings out the best in me, makes me laugh until I cry, tells me he loves me about 100 times a day, dances with me around the kitchen and living room, and loves me unconditionally. I married one of the best men in the whole wide world!! He is my number one and I love him with all that I am!!

Brantleys 1st Easter!!!

This Easter didn't turn out how I wanted it to. I wanted to be home but things came up and we ended up staying in West Point. David and I had bought a few things for each other and Brantley but had left them in Provo. So we celebrated Easter when we got back to Provo on Monday. I know Brantley won't remember this Easter but I will. Even though it didn't go like I planned I was still able to give Brantley his Easter basket when we got home.He was spoiled rotten. From Grandma Kroeger he got 4 books. From Grandma Great Smedley he got a toy (which he loves) and some socks. From Mom and Dad he got a couple of new toys and some shoes. He doesn't quite fit into them yet but they look just like Daddys so I just had to get them!!!

Easter for David and I we got a fish tank. We thought we weren't able to have fish here but with the new managers they told us we could:D

We love it and so does Brantley. He loves watching the fish and the crabs. The other day I was holding him while he was crying (he was hungry and I have him calm down before I give him a bottle) so I was walking around with him and as soon as we got to the fish tank he stopped crying and as soon as I walked away he started up again. I did this about 4 times with the same result. He is such a little crack up!! Needless to say we are glad to have the fishes it has been fun for all of us!!!

Whats been going on with David and I lately...

David:

Finished up his semester with smashing success. He did so well. His classes weren't easy and he did a lot better in a couple of classes then he thought he would. He is working on a sage grouse project where he traps and collars grouse so they can track them. He loves what he does but neither of us likes the hours he has to work. Some nights he leaves about 8:00pm and doesn't get home until 1 or 2 and sometimes not even until 11 or 12 in the afternoon. So I don't get to see him much. But at least he likes what he does. He was going to take a couple of summer classes but decided that he wouldn't work very well with his work schedule. So he will just stay a working boy this summer. Also with his work he got to ride in a hilacopter for the first time (picture above) they go up in airplanes and helicopters to try to find sage grouse bedding areas.

He has had a lot of fun with it but it sure does take him way from Brantley and me a lot and we sure miss him.

Camille:

I start school next week. BRING IT ON!!! I am so ready to be done. I have a year and a half left. This time next year I will be able to say "I graduate in December" David and I will graduate about the same time with our bachelors. Then I am D-O-N-E. David on the other hand wants to get into graduate school at BYU. Needless to say we will be here for a while. Anyway, I have also been working on some crafts. I tried sewing a skirt. It took me 3 days and it still doesn't fit great and it isn't hemmed just yet but other than that it is done. I have also been working on my most current hobby I am trying to pick up, card making, like I said I am trying to pick up the hobby.

BOTH OF US:
We both got turkey tags this year! It will be a fun adventure for both of us! Wish us luck. Also our favorite ward that we have been in for almost 3 years has finally been dissolved. The rumors have been flying for a long time but I didn't think it would actually happen for a long time I guess I was very wrong. Our last Sunday was two Sundays ago. We unfortunately missed it but that is probably a good thing because I am a very emotional person and I probably would have cried the whole time. We LOVED that ward and everything about it. The bishop, our callings, the friends we made, the 8:30 time. It was fantastic. But I am sure our new ward will be great. We just aren't two thrilled about the 1:00 time.

We are doing great. Just loving life and the time we get to spend with each other both as a family and just with each other, which doesn't happen very much. I miss David when he goes but I am sure happy when he gets home.

I wish I could grow money on trees...

David tells me all the time "Camille you must think that money grows on trees". I know it really doesn't and I don't think that I spend it like it does but we sure could of used a money tree last month. We spent about $900-$1000 on cars. We got two new windshields, 4 new tires, two vehicle registrations, two safety and emissions inspections, and 4 tanks of gas. Who knew cars were so dang expensive. We don't' have the best vehicles but they get us from point A to B and I am so very grateful to have them.

I also have been working on some wedding presents and I printed of some of what I have been making at home but it took all the ink so David told me to go to the school where he should probably be cheaper. Well I made 3 of these things at home and it cost us about $15 dollars. I went to BYU and it cost me about $54. (I didn't know the price until I was paying for it, I guess I should have got a quote I just thought it would be cheaper.) NOTE TO SELF, DON'T EVER PRINT THESE THINGS AT BYU AGAIN!!!!

But I will say this past month has definitely made me appreciate what I have. I know I don't have a lot but I have what I need. I am happy with the little apartment and my little family. We have been so blessed and even though we don't have a lot of money to spare and this past month has been a struggle financially the Lord has blessed us and we haven't gone with out the things that we need and we still have had a little extra to share with others in need.

Spring...Oh how I love you!!!

I have been waiting for weeks for the weather to be nice enough to go outside and play and today it finally was!!! HORAH!!! I went on a walk with one of my very bestest friends April and he adorable little girl. We missed walking with one of my other good friends Kayla but anyway today was absolutely beautiful. I even got a little sun to prove it. I sure hope this weather is here to stay!!!

Wonderful Weekend

Last Thursday David went on a required field trip down to Lytle ranch for 4 days. I took the opportunity to go stay at my parent for the weekend. So I packed up the car and Brantley and I were off. I love visiting my parents especially for long periods of time. They spoiled me rotten. I got a new pair of pj's made, my mom changed countless diapers and fed Brantley numerous times. They took me to dinner at El Matadors which was delicious and I got to see lots of family of both David and my siblings. Thanks Mom and Dad for everything!!!

Some other eventful things that happened this past weekend...

*My car died, we had to buy a new battery and a new battery cable

David and I are all signed up for fall classes--David and I will both be taking 5 classes, it is going to be a busy semester.

David's sister Polly and hubby Jordan welcomed baby #2 into their family and I can't wait to meet little Carson!!

*Brantley now sleeps in his crib...and not to well I might add. But he is still cute as can be and we love him to pieces!!!

*Brantley got his first REAL hair cut!!!

Brantley's First REAL hair cut

David and I have finally done it....I cut Brantley's hair. I didn't mean to cut it as short as I did I thought it would be a little longer but he still looks cute and I know it will grow back.... Before:His hair was almost 3 inches long
After: I have a video of the hair cut that I will put up here soon!!!
