Brantley's nasty fall and playing outside

We love going to the BYU duck pond and every time we go Brantley always gives a scare by almost falling in. We have just been waiting for it to happen and it finally did. Brantley moves so fast and he was trying to throw a stick in but got distracted by the people next to him and lost his balance and went head over heals. It was not a soft landing. In fact the only thing that actually make it into the pond was a foot. He used his head to brace his fall on the stump, rock and dirt. The poor little man. One of the worst feelings I have ever had watching Brantley fall over and disappear from sight. But after I got him out we came home to take a bath and he was all smiles.

It looked like someone had put two little holes in his head. So sad!

But he is doing good and has gone back to the pond without any fears.

Playing outside
We don't have the best area to play outside but I took Brantley out to the parking lot the other day to let him stretch his legs before bedtime. He just cracks me up. In the video he would run his bike off the little curb and run a little with it then have to turn around and carry it back. He did this multiple times. I just barely caught the last run on video.

  1. It looks like his cut was much better after it got cleaned up. That was so scarey for you all.It looks like Brantley is really loving his friends at his pre-pre-school. That certainly has been a blessing in your life. It looks like Father's Day was great and how fun that your Dad takes him out to swing. Yeah for Grandpas. I wonder what he will end up calling his Grandpa Smedley. You are doing good with the baby. She looks like she will be a healthy weight at least from your profile! You certainly are all baby as I've commented before! I enjoyed all your posts. I love to read about how you are all doing. Thanks.

  2. We know how it is to not have a great place to play outside, we just remind ourselves that it is temporary!! Brantley's poor head, but it looks like he is a tough little guy!!
I'm so glad your pregnancy is going so well, she'll be here before we know it!!
